Fire-Rescue-Operations

All operations are under the command and operational structure of Unified Fire Rescue (UFR). UFR has adopted and operates in accordance with NFPA 1720

(2020 edition) as amended for operational limitations. Unified Fire Rescue Borderlands 

is an all hazard combination rural fire agency located in Quitman Pass Texas. 

Cal-Baja (Cali-Baja Mega Region)

Operating as a all hazards Fire-Life Safety training agency for the Cali Baja Mega Region. Training and response cadre made up from various areas of public safety have the ability to deploy as far south as Cedros Island. In 2020 the Borderless Business Congress has moved to develop this region and we look forward to the opprotunity as an NGO to be an integral part of the region. More about the region can be found here 

Borderlands Fire Rescue Academy.

Looking forward to 2024, plans with our strategic partners were implemented to build and operate a regional public safety training center. The facility will include a pool for professional public safety diver training, EMS training facility, ocean lifesaver training, Search and Rescue and Hazmat operations training. This private facility will depend on cooperation and investment from international agencies, foreign investors and Mexico.This will provide a coastal economic powehouse as well as an international resort and housing destination with modern contract life safety.  Check back for updates.

Unified Fire Rescue

Unified Fire Rescue (UFR) operates as an all hazards Fire Rescue Department. Station 904 is located at Texas RM 1111/64 14 miles south of Interstate 10 and 7 miles north of the US/Mexican border and provides emergency services to the surrounding community and mutual aid to adjacent municipalities. Staffing is provided by minimally compensated Volunteer Fire Fighters and Rescue Personnel. Instructors are professionally certifed. The station also operates as the Fire Rescue, Search and Rescue training facility. Unified Fire Rescue has the resources to deploy equipment and cadre for disaster, wildland fire supression and contract operations. UFR is SAM – (Federal) System for Award Management registered for providing contract emergency services. Contract services affords us funding for equipment and facility improvements. 

HAZMAT OPERATIONS.  Hazmat Operations are performed in accordance with NFPA 472 and OSHA 1910.120. Hazmat teams can be requested under contract both nationally and internationally. Hazmat operations training can be obtained and scheduled through the online calander.
